Laurie's turned down recruitment? Did she give a reason? And Meeko, worried about losing which power? If Laurie gets recruited by Colby before getting her Freeze Ray, she becomes vanilla town and loses her powers. She thinks she'll be more helpful by obtaining her Freeze Ray first and retaining her ability to protect people and THEN becoming town. As per her PM, after she blocks Inner tonight, she'll get her Freeze Ray from him and earn the ability to either block or protect instead of both, along with the option of joining the Town win condition.

So Laurie should have her freeze ray now. This game is still confusing Who sent the kill to Peeks?

Hmm, so Cookies just redirects, nice one. I was a bit pissed that all N1 targets went to Peeks, but it is a Gastard game. Damn, no one was looking at me until the reveal Great game but sooo confusing.

Looks like colby's out for blood. MHaye will have the option of adding one more kill (on scum, no less). His decision would make a huge difference to both the scum and Peacekeepers, assuming dizzy ends up getting lynched.

I think what I find the most interesting is that I specifically worded Ginger's PM to the fact that the Executioner role is supposed to be able to put multiple votes on the same person, her "secret" vote can be made on a person she voted for publicly as well.
But Ginger's always treated it as a third vote and never asked for clarification, so I'm not going to volunteer that information. Hooray Gastardness.

That's a pretty good PM Rich Beckman came up with there. Although he didn't color-code it purple. And at least one person seems to be buying it. If I were SisC I'd be throwing something at my screen right about now Or maybe deploying the flashing HTML tags on my next post about Rich.

Hiding their win condition should be a red flag. Plus their powers are anemic for a role that must survive to the end of the game (should've made the win conditions an "either/or" instead of "both"). Especially since they investigate as scum/hostile.
But, ultimately, the rule of thumb is if a player investigates as scum, they need to die. Yes, that sucks if you're the "miller". But otherwise, there needs to be a good reason to keep an investigated-as-scum alive.
Of course, this particular game also has a track record of mislynches based on incorrect analyses of role claims, so maybe it'll work.

That's Word of Mod you're looking at there. And that's also a loverly Fake PM, but your actual role name is Master of the Deck of Dragons. Busted! ;D

Valiant effort on Rich's part, though, especially since he's fairly new and is playing one of the hardest roles in the game to succeed with.
Also, the scum are considering killing Red Skeezix, which they really shouldn't. If they want any chance at all, they need to leave the non-Town alive and force the Town to lynch hostiles that aren't scum. There's enough wiggle room for sinjin to claim she was initially third-party and became Town (and edit her fake PM to reflect that) while casting suspicion on gnarlycharlie and LaurieRN. They need to take out one of the main Town squad: Colby, Sis, or Inner, who are all untouchable at the lynch.
Of course, Cookies has redirected all protections to Sis so going that way would be moot. I think the scum's best shot (without PIS) is Sis or Inner tonight.

Town: 6 Scum: 2 Recruitable Third-Party: 1 Non-Recruitable Third-Party: 4 Total: 13 So that gives town about 3 mislynches versus 3 successful lynches needed to win. They're in good shape except that the godfather is in the confirmed pool. The game could still go either way.

Let me tell you playing scum was not an easy feat in this game....I wish I knew there were more recruitables for Scum.....And Inner was one of the ones we could have targeted..... :facepalm !!!
I'm still amazing I was able to pull Gnarly's name out of a proverbial hat as the person who visited Inner. I so should have picked Patricia!!!! UGH!

Golly, there is a ton of info in these here spoiled threads. It will take a week just to catch up! I cannot believe that I did not kill Sister Coyote on Night Five when she admitted she was a scanner. It just went right over my head! Stupid, stupid, stupid. And obviously, I should have protected myself Night Six once Sister had announced my Hostility. More stupid. Oh well. I feel like I learned a ton. And I bet my next spreadsheet is actually up to the task!!! It will be fun to see the rest of this played out.

You'll just have to trust me on this.
I deduced Colby was an Illithid.
Think humanoids with four tentacles obscuring the mouth and chin that feed by sucking the brains out of people. And things, but mostly people.

Yes from thin air.....I was pulling at straws to try and not get lynched that day.....I figured if I could convince Inner that someone else stole his freeze ray gun then I might get a pass into the next day. I pulled straws on some of the unknown people....I was back and forth between Gnarly, You, or Patricia, but settled on Gnarly because it was close to EOD and Gnarly hasn't been that vocal and maybe he'll miss my accusation. I also DID NOT KILL FREAKING PEEKERS! I just tried to block him. That annoyed me that I couldn't vocalize it. I was told that a blocker would have gotten lynched, so try claiming as a tracker.

There was some discussion of whether the Merc could be fun to play. While I declined to join the discussion, I did think about it.
The fact is that, although I didn't choose my Night action most Nights, I always felt I was advancing towards my wincon; except for the Nights I couldn't do what I was contracted to.
I didn't once execute a contract for a Townie client. Guiri and ATPG died before I got my orders, and Bill forgot.
I wound up taking one contract for hostile third party, one for a Mafiate (blocked by the target's powers) and one for a non-hostile third party.
I'd be getting worried as the game went on and the pool of players shrunk whether the contracted action would have allowed looting. I might have had to contrive a lynch of a client to get extra looting opportunities.
Pollux, did Patricia have the option to hire me for wetwork, or did you leave that off her PM because she was a Peacekeeper?

Very interesting MHaye.....very interesting. Did you know who players were whether they were Town/3rd Party/Mafiate at the time of contract?
So the Mafiate you took, was my request a few nights back when I wanted to investigate Cookies? I was so annoyed when that came back as a null.

Pollux, did Patricia have the option to hire me for wetwork, or did you leave that off her PM because she was a Peacekeeper? She had the option. She either left it off on purpose, or legitimately messed up when she copied because the first time she bid, she only had 5 votes so she didn't have access to Wetwork. I think the Peacekeepers' win lies solely on the shoulders of Cookies redirecting all the kills to peeker Night One. Her discovered the only unkillable role in the game on Night One with her redirect basically gave the Peacekeepers the out they needed to win. Also, Rich, even if you had tried to kill Sister Coyote on Night Five, you would have been redirected by Cookies to peeker along with everyone else. That was probably the biggest detriment to all the non-Town parties: Cookies finding someone to safely redirect kills to. EDIT: Also, while we're talking about the Merc, I legitimately underestimated how many votes people would be willing to put down to bid. I thought 7 would be stretching it and only for the most hardcore about getting the Merc, but out of all the winning bids, only one didn't include every possible level.

Very interesting MHaye.....very interesting. Did you know who players were whether they were Town/3rd Party/Mafiate at the time of contract? I was told at Dawn of each Day who won the bidding for the next Night. I did not know role, alignment, designation or the winning bid. I was told as Night started what the contract was. In the event of a tie, I chose. Yes. Both choices for N3 were viable; investigate Cookies or ATPG. If I'd taken Patricia's contract I would have looted N3, then not been able to loot his room at Dusk on Day 5. Another amusing headache; I could have confirmed claims by KidV and Parzival (I looted his room N2, and was responsible for roleblocking him), but why would I want to confirm their claims? Pollux; can I be approved for the Mafia board please?

Another question: Does the lucky quarter's power extend to Rich Beckman as long as he keeps it? It says he can't 'use' those items but the power seems to depend only on possession. OK. I was meaning to ask anyway... What role, if any, do (did) the objects play? It sure seemed to me that they were just random objects that served no purpose beyond making people wonder.
